Suttle Lake

In January 2020, I spent two weeks at the Suttle Lake Artist Residency near Sisters, Oregon. I arrived with a plan to incorporate more elements of the natural world into my work. I practiced loosening up and found lots of new color palettes. I remember being cold, walking for miles around the lake again and again, and eating the cheesy mushroom melts they made in the lodge kitchen. It was a dream of a time and I hope the work I made while in residence exudes the relaxed joy I experienced during my time in residence.
