I have this compulsion to fill every single space of a painting. I don't know why I insist on working this way or where it comes from, but it brings me immense joy, so I do it anyway. I've always felt that as artists we don't always have complete control over the images and objects we create.
 
Sometimes an invisible force takes over, working through us as though we are mere puppets on a larger stage that we cannot see.
